Why we’re flipping the script on Demo Day

An entrepreneur’s most valuable resource is their time. At Lunar Startups, we’re building a programmatic experience that adds value, efficiency, and time back to the entrepreneurs so that they can build their customer base faster. 

Historically, Demo Days were a culminating moment in the accelerator experience where entrepreneurs pitched their company in hopes that an investor in the crowd would write a check. In the 20 years since Demo Days became standard practice, reality has not lived up to the expectation of the event for either entrepreneurs nor investors. 

When we asked cohort entrepreneurs what they wanted as a culminating experience, they all agreed, connection to customers, community, and stewards who will help them continue to build their companies upon exiting Lunar.  

UnDemo Day will be a celebration of the hard work, grit, and determination exemplified by cohort 1 companies. Will they pitch their company? Sure. But you’ll also hear authentic stories of growth, connection, and community.
